Dating AdviceBeginning and developing a loving relationship takes a lot of time but it always starts with going on a date. Some people are good at dating and others might need a little bit of dating advice to be more successful at the dating game. Young men and newly single men are often at a loss when it comes to the opposite sex. Women are so confusing, you hear them complain quite often. When you make a move on a girl that you think is romantic and gallant, you may walk away disappointed, soundly rebuffed and without a clue as to what you did wrong. It's true, men are from Mars and women from Venus. While you may think you presented a Prince Valiant image, the girl of your dreams doesn't seem to agree. On the other hand a lot of women think that men can be confusing and obstinate creatures. I have been a relationship therapist for about 6 years now, and in all that time, I have given out plenty of dating advice for women. When I first started my job, I noticed a big difference in the way that people give out dating advice for women and for men. It seemed strange to me that most of the therapists advised women to be cautious, whereas the dating advice for men had a much more “go for it” feel. It seemed unfair to me at the time, but now I think more highly of it. Men and women are different, and women have to be willing to put on the brakes just as men have to be willing to hit the gas. There are few really universal pieces of dating advice for women that I give out. You see, every woman is different and, therefore, needs different advice on dating. About the only thing that I can say to all women is “trust your instincts.” If something seems really fishy about the guy you are dating, there probably is something wrong. Just because you can not put your finger on it does not mean that it isn't there. In all likelihood, you simply aren't consciously aware of the issue. I think the best dating advice that I could give to anybody is to treat each other with respect and dignity. We all have to make some comprises in life and this includes our relationships as well. Everybody has their faults but if we can put these aside and concentrate on the positives then you will always have successful relationships and you will never to ask anybody again for any dating advice.
